“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.”  Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1601

Sacrament of Matrimony at St. Leo Parish

The pastor, staff and parishioners of St. Leo Parish are happy for you as you prepare to live the great Sacrament of Marriage.  The first step in preparing your marriage is to schedule an initial meeting with Fr. Javier, our pastor, who will guide you through the marriage preparation process. The following months of preparation will help you to deepen your understanding of each other and to grow in faith as to live as intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.

Marriage preparations consist of both intellectual and spiritual preparation: learning, understanding, and accepting the Church’s teaching on marriage and family life, and spiritually preparing for that life.

Contact St. Leo parish office at 203.322.1669 or email office@stleostamford.org. We look forward to helping you prepare to live this sacred partnership of your life, the Sacrament of Marriage.
