“Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion.” Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1422

The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation is offered Monday through Friday morning from 8:00-8:25 am, Thursday evening from 6:30-7:45 pm and Saturday at 9:00 am. Confession may also be by private appointment.  Please contact the parish office for an appointment at 203-322-1669.

First Reconciliation at St. Leo Parish

Children participating in the St. Leo religious education/faith formation program begin preparation for receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation in the first grade. In the second grade they begin a more comprehensive preparation. The children will understand the ten commandments; why and how we go to confession; and the prayers associated with the sacrament. Parishioner’s children who attend Catholic school and do not attend religious formation at St. Leo are an important part of our family and are invited to attend a period of training directly before the sacrament and are encouraged to make this sacrament with their St. Leo parish family.
