Altar Servers: Boys and girls are encouraged to volunteer for this important ministry. Servers must be in grade 3 before beginning to serve. Scheduling to serve particular Masses is designed to accommodate the busy schedules of both servers and their parents. Training and installation of new servers take place in the fall and spring of each year.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist help the priest in the distribution of Holy Communion to the Mass and to the sick and homebound.
Reader proclaims the scriptures at Mass and other services.
Ushers greet our parishioners as they enter the church, take the Sunday Offertory, and distribute bulletins after each Mass. They make sure those presenting the gifts are in attendance and that those who need individual attention at Communion time are taken care of.
St. Leo Parish offers a vast music program, and is very fortunate to have three Parish Choirs for you to join. The choirs are in session from September through Pentecost.
The Contemporary Choir – with guitar and piano – rehearses on Tuesday evenings and worships at the 10:00am Sunday Mass.
The Traditional Choir – with organ – rehearses on Thursday evenings and worships at the 11:30 am Sunday Mass.
Children’s Choir – Grades 1 through 8 -Combining the talents of our experienced (grades 4 to 8) choristers, with our younger (grades 1 to 3) members. Rehearsals on Sunday morning 10:45 am (directly following the 10 am Mass) and worshiping on the first Sunday of the month at the 11:30 am Mass.
